The Canucks acquired forward Brandon Sutter and a third-round draft pick in a trade with the Penguins, the team announced Tuesday.

In exchange for the 26-year-old Sutter, the Canucks send back Nick Bodino, Adam Clendening and a second-round pick in the 2016 NHL draft. 

The Maple Leafs announced today that the team has acquired forward Taylor Beck from the Predators in exchange for forward Jamie Devane.

Beck collected 16 points (8 goals, 8 assists) in 62 games with Nashville last season. The 24-year-old also skated in five playoff games, registering two penalty minutes.

The Blackhawks traded forward Patrick Sharp and defenseman Stephen Jones to the Stars for defenseman Trevor Dailey and forward Ryan Garbutt on Friday, according to an ESPN.com report. 

Sharp had been with the Blackhawks since 2005, winning three Stanley Cups. He had 239 goals and 272 assists in 679 games for the Chicago. This past season, he had 16 goals and 27 assists in 68 games last season. 

T.J. Oshie is looking forward to joining the Capitals, who acquired the Sochi Olympics shootout star from the Blues on Thursday for Troy Brouwer.

"I'd feel kind of like a kid in a candy store, I guess, playing with that caliber of player," Oshie said on a conference call.

The Maple Leafs have traded forward Phil Kessel to the Penguins, a source confirmed to ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun.

The Penguins are sending the Maple Leafs forwards Kasperi Kapanen and Nick Spaling, defenseman Scott Harrington and a first-round draft pick in return, a source said. Additional players could be involved, as well.

Kessel, 27, collected 25 goals and 36 assists this past season for the Leafs, his sixth season for the team. 

The Sharks filled a major need Tuesday, acquiring goalie Martin Jones from the Bruins.

"We're not done," Sharks GN Doug Wilson said. "There's more to be done."

The Sharks paid a handsome price to pick up an important part of the puzzle, sending their first-round pick next season and forward prospect Sean Kuraly to the Bruins.
